Do Our Teachers?

September 5th is Teacher’s Day in India! Udeeta, 12, India, wrote this poem to celebrate.

Do our teachers ever cook food?
Do our teachers ever act to be rude?

Do our teachers ever sleep?
Do our teachers ever serve a birthday treat?

Do our teachers ever dream?
DO our teachers ever apply face cream?

Do our teachers get scared of snake?
Do our teachers ever visit a lake?

Do our teachers ever get late?
Do our teachers ever get caught in a threat?

Do our teachers ever fail in any exam?
Do our teachers ever consume lots of jam?

Do our teachers ever get any punishment?
Do our teachers have to ever pay any rent?

Do our teachers ever install facebook?
Do our teachers ever forget to fasten the main door hook?

Do our teachers ever walk barefoot?
Do our teachers ever cherish their childhood?

Do our teachers visit the temples?
Do our teachers too have pimples?

Our teachers are role models for us,
Without you all, our studies would have been a curse.

Imagining the teachers to be humans like us, is impossible,
But believing them to be different is also not at all sensible!

Happy Teacher’s Day!
