Hi. I have always had trouble liking myself and the pandemic has not helped with that. I spend way too much time looking at myself in a mirror, wishing I was more beautiful. I know I shouldn’t care what others think abut me, but I can’t help it. How do I stop this?

Hi!
I often feel the same way. I compare myself to others but forget that I’m unique. But it’s hard to remember that! It helps me to tell myself that I’m beautiful, and I can do amazing things, and what I look like isn’t that important. It also helps to be with friends- and to talk about anything. I know that I judge myself some times, but my friends don’t care how I look!
Always remember that your beautiful no matter what you look like!
Love, love, love,
Grace.
Hello, dear LM,
You know your problem that is you are not able to accept yourself and now you must try and understand why you are facing this problem. Let me help you with it, you are comparing yourself with others and that’s why you are feeling that you are not beautiful enough. So, dearie, whenever you feel that way, remember a bowl of soup. In a bowl of soup, there are many ingredients but are all the ingredients same? No, right? And now you tell me that if even one ingredient is missing will the soup taste good? Obviously not! Exactly that’s how we all are! We are different creations of The Supreme God and we all have our own purpose and importance.. So, there’s no point in comparing yourselves with others and feeling disheartened.
Always remember, you are one of God’s unique creation and God will always love you the way you are….
And yes… I am always here for you….
With loads of love…

Hi, I am a teenage girl (obvs) and I experience the same problem. Staring at yourself in the mirror won’t help the problem, but I know one thing that will.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and our (meaning all people of earth, not just members of the church) are loved by our Heavenly Father in heaven. He doesn’t care weather you are beautiful or not. He only cares of what choices you make to become a good person. So, I’m here to say, your physical appearance doesn’t matter in the slightest. Only if you strive for the best, you can become the amazing young women that you are, and be the most beautiful heart on the inside.
Love, Teen Girl
